2014年6月12日，特斯拉首席執(zhí)行官埃隆·馬斯克在特斯拉官博《All Our Patent Are Belong To You》中稱，為了讓電動車擁有更好更快速的發(fā)展，特斯拉將公開其電動車的技術專利，并對正當使用其專利的個體或企業(yè)將不會進行訴訟。隨后，Palo Alto總部內的特斯拉專利墻也借此次“開源運動”正式被“推倒”。這樣的一個舉措，可以稱得上是特斯拉戰(zhàn)略層面的一個里程碑，隨后這件事引來了汽車行業(yè)內的熱烈討論。
